Meeting in October: Oliver Brock on Sir Isaac Brock

Date: 6 October 2012

Theme: Bicentenary of Sir Isaac Brock – “Hero of Upper Canada”

Time: Meet for lunch at 12, with the talk starting after lunch.

Venue: Theodore Bullfrog, 26-30 John Adam Street, London WC2N 6HL (nearest tube Charing Cross).

At our meeting in October, we shall be celebrating the bicentenary of Sir Isaac Brock‘s victory in defending Canada against an American invasion at Queenstown Heights on 13 October 1812.

Since then he has become as national hero in Canada, and a number of events are being organised in Guernsey and Canada to commemorate this bicentenary.

We will be welcoming Oliver Brock, a descendant of Sir Isaac, to our October meeting to tell us more about his illustrious ancestor.
