Publications

The Society publishes a magazine, The Review three times a year. Each edition contains a selection of articles relating to Guernsey current affairs & history, as well as book reviews, regular articles on news & events from Guernsey, details of forthcoming meetings and other Society news.

Current edition of The Review

The Spring 2013 edition of The Review is out now, and contains a range of articles including Some Vale Stones and Norman Names by Dr Darryl Ogier, Valerie Baines’ Guernsey Sketchbook (an example of which is featured on the front cover), A Scholar’s Diary of 1949 by Michael Paul and Brief Tales of the Occupation by Dorothy Dowding. As this year marks our 70th anniversary, there is the story of  the formation our society in 1943, as well as the usual Island News, Book Reviews and Membership News. There is also an obituary for one of our Vice-Presidents, The Very Reverend Victor Collas, who passed away recently.
