About the event
This autumn’s London event features a talk by Stephen Foote, Vice-Chairman of the Guernsey Society and Chief Executive of the Priaulx Library.
Stephen will share recent developments at the Library, including the launch of the ‘Findmypast’ ancestry platform and the digitisation of a wide range of Guernsey’s historical records - part of a wider programme to improve access to local archives. The Library, founded in 1889, has long served as the island’s centre for heritage and family research, and continues to play a vital role in preserving Guernsey’s cultural memory.
The event begins with lunch at the Boot and Flogger in Southwark at 12.30pm, followed by Stephen’s talk at 2.30pm. Those unable to attend in person are welcome to join via Zoom. Full joining details will be circulated to members in early September.
Please let keith_le_page@guernsey-society.org.uk know if you are attending lunch so that catering can be arranged.
